About Me

I am Ms. Ankita Basak, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the Calcutta Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology & Allied Health Sciences, Uluberia, Howrah. I hold a Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) degree with specialization in Pharmaceutics and have more than one year of teaching and research experience. My core research interests include the development and optimization of advanced drug delivery systems, specifically Nanoparticulate Drug Delivery Systems (DDS), Gastro-retentive DDS, and Topical DDS. My work is driven by the need for enhanced bioavailability and patient-centric therapeutic approaches. I have published several research papers in Scopus indexed international and national journals. I had one design patent in the field of nanotechnology. I am actively involved in mentoring students, guiding them in academic and research activities. I also contribute as a member of various institutional bodies including the Internal Complaint Committee, Cultural Committee, and NBA Criteria-I team. My goal is to contribute meaningfully to the field of pharmaceutics through impactful research, collaborative projects, and quality teaching.
